Stepwise process to register a new mobile number
- Log in to your SBI account.
- Go to the profile tab and click on personal details.
- Enter Profile Password. Here name, e-mail ID and registered mobile number will be displayed in Internet banking.
- ‘Change Mobile Number-Domestic only (Through OTP/ATM/Contact Centre)’ पर क्लिक करें.
- A new screen will open which will have three tabs, Create Request, Cancel Request and Status.
- Fill in the new mobile number and fill it twice and click on submit.
- A pop up message will come in which you will be asked to verify the new mobile number. ‘Click OK.
- A new screen will open in which the option of verification through three options will be available to change the mobile number.

Verification via OTP on both mobile numbers
- If you have chosen the option of By OTP on both the Mobile Number, then you should have both new and old numbers.
Click Proceed. - Choose the account with which you have a debit card.
- The page will be redirected to the SBI ATM card validation screen. Here all the ATM cards linked to the account will be visible even if they are inactive.
- Select the active ATM card and click on confirm.
- The selected ATM card number will appear on the next screen.
- Fill the details of the card with the PIN, fill the given text in a text box in the prescribed box and click on Proceed.
- On successful validation, both old and new numbers will be OTP.
- After this, SMS will have to be sent to both mobile numbers within four hours on ACTIVATE <8 digit OTP> <13 digit reference number> 567676. For example, by writing ACTIVATE 12345678 UM12051500123 and SMS to 567676.
- After the OTP and reference number is validated, the new mobile number will be activated and the SMS associated with it will be received.

IRATA: Internet Banking Request Approval Through ATM
- If you have clicked on the IRATA: Internet Banking Request Approval through ATM, then click on Proceed.
- Select the account with which you have a debit card, click on the process.
- The page will be redirected to the SBI ATM card validation screen. Here all the ATM cards linked to the account will be visible even if they are inactive.
- Select the active ATM card and click on confirm.
- The selected ATM card number will appear on the next screen.
- Fill the details of the card with the PIN, fill the given text in a text box in the prescribed box and click on Proceed.
- After successful validation, the mobile number will come on the screen, but the request is pending. An SMS will also come in which there will be a reference number.
- Now go to any nearest State Bank Group ATM and swipe your card and select the Services tab and fill the PIN.
- Select ‘Others’ tab and click on ‘Internet Banking Request Approval’.
- Fill in the 10 digit reference number.
- The request for change in mobile number will be completed after the completion of the process. A message connected to it will be received on mobile.
Approval through contact center
- If you have selected the option of Approval through Contact Center, then click on Proceed and select the account whose debit card is with you.
- Click Proceed.
- The page will be redirected to the SBI ATM card validation screen. Here all the ATM cards linked to the account will be visible even if they are inactive.
- Select the active ATM card and click on confirm.
- The selected ATM card number will appear on the next screen.
- Fill the details of the card with the PIN, fill the given text in a text box in the prescribed box and click on Proceed.
- After successful validation, the mobile number will come on the screen, but the request is pending. One
- SMS will also come in which there will be a reference number.
- The contact center of the bank will contact you on your new mobile number within three working days.
- Before sharing any personal information with the contact center person, please ask the reference number as it should not be shared with anyone else.
- The contact center will authenticate your identity by taking some of your important information.
- After getting certified, the new mobile number will be registered successfully. A message connected to it will be received on the new mobile number.

- If you want to see the status of your request or to cancel it, log in to your SBI account for this.
