ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund has launched NFO named ICICI Prudential Flexicap. It is an open-ended equity scheme. It will invest in large, mid and small caps. Its range will be the S&P BSE 500. The stock will be selected after looking at the fundamentals, valuation etc. of the company. NFO will open on 28 June 2021 and close on 12 July 2021. You can invest a minimum of Rs 5,000 (with switch) in AFO and beyond (in multiples of Rs 1).
Equity scheme claims to be most flexible
ICICI Prudential AMC MD & CEO said that a category of Flexicap Equity Scheme (as per scheme category of SEBI) . They claim that it is the most flexible of all equity schemes as ICICI Prudential Flexicap Fund has the flexibility to invest in large, mid and small caps without any restrictions. This can be corrected by the fund manager depending on the macro-economic factors and business cycle, which will be according to the SID at all times. He said that this will help the investors to reach their financial goals effectively.

Strategy to limit losses in large caps
In times of economic uncertainty, large caps limit the risk of loss and can provide liquidity to the portfolio. On the other hand, mid and small caps may be in a better position to take advantage of the potential bounce when economic growth picks up with expected economic recovery after the lockdown phase. The management of this scheme will be done by senior fund manager Rajat Chandak. Fund Manager Priyanka Khandelwal will manage the foreign investment. ICICI Prudential says it has a very good team of fund managers who are consistently successful in providing better returns to the investors.
