This scheme is included in the ambitious schemes of the government, which apart from giving employment to the people, the aim is to deliver quality and inexpensive medicines from door to door. For this reason, the government is also giving many incentives to an individual to open a Jan Aushadhi Center. Special care is being taken of the profit of the people by opening a government drug store. Even the government is paying back the huge expenditure for opening the ear through incentives. Opportunity: 3500 centers to open now
At present, about 7000 Jan Aushadhi centers are being run in the country. While the government plans to increase it to 10500 in all 734 districts. That is, 3500 centers are still to be opened. In such a situation, it is a better option for the youth searching for employment. It is special that about 1450 medicines and 204 surgical items are available at these centers, to be increased to 2000 and 300.
Business is growing continuously
Sales of medicines from the Prime Minister of India Jan Aushadhi Kendras (PMBJK) have also increased by 60 percent in the first half of this financial year. Recently, Fertilizers and Chemicals Minister DV Sadanand Gowda gave this information. A business of Rs 519.34 crore was done till 29 January 2021 under this scheme, while the target was to sell medicines worth 500 crore in the whole year. Even in lockdown, this scheme proved to be very effective.
Guidelines for opening a drugstore
What is needed for individuals: If someone opens an individual drugstore, he should have a degree in D Pharma or B Pharma or he has employed a D Pharma or B Pharma degree holder. While applying, he will have to submit proof after taking this degree.
If an organization or NGO wants to open a Jan Aushadhi Center, then it is also necessary for it to employ a D Pharma or B Pharma degree holder.
Any eligible NGOs / Charitable Organization Jan Aushadhi Centers can be opened in hospitals too.
20 percent margin on drug sales: The guidelines said that 20 percent margin will be given to the shop owners for the sale of the drug at the opening of the public health center. Apart from this, there is also a provision for normal and special incentives.
Normal incentive: As a normal incentive, the government refunds the expenses incurred in opening the drugstore. This includes spending up to Rs 1.5 lakh on furniture in the shop and up to Rs 50 thousand in keeping computers and fridges etc. It is refunded up to a maximum of 15 thousand rupees on a monthly basis until the amount of 2 lakhs is completed. It is given 15 percent of the incentive monthly purchase or 15000 whichever is higher.
Special Incentive: It is given to women traders, Divyang, SC, ST at the opening of Janaushadhi center. Or to open centers in North East or Naxalite affected areas.
Shop Area: To open it, you must have 120 square feet shop.
