Muhurta trading started on the BSE in 1957. It began with the two major trading communities, Gujaratis and Marwaris. It started in 1992 in the NSE. Since then, both BSE and NSE trade for one hour on Diwali evening.
Time of Muhurta Trading Session 2020
This year Muhurat Trading will start at 6:15 pm and will run till 7:15 pm on 14 November. The Pre-Open Muhurta session will run from 6:00 pm to 6:08 pm and the post-closing Muhurta will be between 7.25 to 7.35. Muhurta is an occasion with which the new Samvat will begin. Samvat 2077 will begin this year.
Block Deal Session: 5:45 PM to 6:00 PM
Pre-Open Muhurt Session: 6:00 PM to 6:08 PM
Moment trading session: 6:15 PM to 7:15 PM
Call auction: 6:20 PM to 7:05 PM
Muhurat session after closing: 7:25 PM to 7:35 PM
