DA Hike under 7th Pay Commission: On March 30 last month, the Modi government gave a deal of an additional 3 percent increase in dearness allowance / dearness relief to central employees and pensioners. After this decision of the central government, central employees / pensioners will get 34 percent DA / DR. It will be calculated by multiplying the basic salary of central employees or basic pension of retired employees. Central employees will get benefit like this
Suppose the basic salary of an employee is 18 thousand rupees. Earlier they were to be given 31 per cent DA i.e. the worker would get DA of Rs 5580. However, now after the latest DA hike, the employees with this basic pay will get Rs 6120 as DA i.e. an additional DA of Rs 540.

Increase in DA under 7th Pay Commission
According to the central government, this decision to increase the DA of central employees / pensioners has been taken on the basis of an acceptable formula, which is based on the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission. After the current revision, the DA of Central Government Employees has increased to 34 percent. Last year till July 2021, the DA (Dearness Allowance) was 17 percent i.e. the DA of central employees has doubled in the last eight months. After July, the government had increased the DM by 11 percent, after which it increased from 17 percent to 28 percent and after that it was increased again by three percent and now again by three percent.
