Gold Price Today: On Friday, the last day of the week, there was a huge drop in the price of gold and silver. On MCX, the price of gold for delivery in August this week fell by Rs 342 to Rs 48058 per ten grams. Gold for delivery in October fell by Rs 361 to Rs 48314 and gold for delivery in December ended at Rs 48965 with a fall of Rs 245.
Last week, the closing price of gold for August delivery was Rs 47923 per ten grams. On a weekly basis, it registered a rise of Rs 135. On Friday, there was a huge fall in the price of gold in the international market as well. On the last day, it closed at $ 1,812.60 per ounce, down by $ 16.40 (-0.90%). On a weekly basis, it closed sharply for the fourth consecutive week. It gained 0.24 per cent this week.
There was also a lot of pressure on silver in the domestic market. On MCX, silver for delivery in September closed at Rs 68345 per kg with a fall of Rs 1336. Silver for December delivery closed at Rs 69676 with a fall of Rs 1186. Last week the closing price of silver was Rs 69297. This week it recorded a fall of Rs 952. In the international market, on the last day of the week, silver closed down by $ 0.687 (-(-2.60%) to $ 25.707 per oz. On a weekly basis, it fell for the second consecutive week and it fell 1.67 percent this week.
