Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said that soon the PM Self-Reliant Healthy India Scheme will be launched. Under this scheme, the government will spend 64180 crore rupees in the next 6 years. These expenses will be spent on primary, secondary and tertiary health care. Apart from this, in order to give a boost to healthcare in the coming days, it has announced to spend Rs 35000 crore on Corona vaccine. The 6 pillars proposed in the 2020-21 budget include health and welfare.
35000 Crore on Corona Vaccine
The Finance Minister announced that the government will spend 36 thousand crores on the Corona vaccine. He said that 2 more corona vaccines will be started in the country soon. Let us tell you that vaccination has started to stop the coronavirus epidemic in the country. Currently, the use of 2 vaccines, Kovishield and Kovaxin, has been approved.
Health Emergency Center
The Finance Minister said that 17 new health emergency centers will be opened in the country. Health database of all states will be prepared. At the same time, the focus will be on mobile hospitals. Measures will be taken to boost health testing across the country. New health and wellness centers will be opened in villages and cities.
Mission Nutrition 2.0
Mission Nutrition 2.0 will be launched in the country soon. Water life mission will be launched by urban. 2.86 crore households will be given tap connections. 2.87 lakh crores will be spent in 5 years. 7000 rural and 11000 urban wellness centers will be opened in the country. Apart from this, health labs will be built across the country. The number of critical care hospitals will be provided. The neonatal disease control program will be further strengthened.
