Mumbai: With the postponement of the date of the Mumbai Municipal Elections, Shiv Sena has got another opportunity to attract voters. Shiv Sena is trying to make the Municipal Budget (BMC Budget) popular. There is less possibility of imposition of new tax and increase in old taxes in the municipal budget. The budget for the year 2022-23 will be presented by Municipal Commissioner IS Chahal in the Standing Committee on 3 February. On which the eyes of the citizens of the city are fixed.
According to Shiv Sena sources, in view of the Corona crisis, the focus will be on health services in the budget. The budget for the year 2021-22 was Rs.39 thousand 38 crores, in view of which this time it can be more than Rs.40 thousand crores. The government has recently decided to waive off the entire property tax for houses up to 500 sq ft in Mumbai. Its effect will also be seen in the budget.
