Cases of online fraud have been steadily increasing. One such case has surfaced in Delhi. Here, it became expensive to call a person by removing the customer care phone number from Google. Withdrew one lakh rupees from the bank account of the person. The incident is from Madhu Vihar area of Delhi. The victim had extracted customer care numbers from Google to withdraw money for Air Ticket. When the victim called the number, the victim’s mobile was hacked through a link and one lakh rupees were transferred from his bank account to another account. The victim lodged a case at Madhu Vihar police station. The police have registered a case and started investigating the case.

Air tickets had to be cancelled
According to the report, the victims live in the IP Extension area of Madhu Vihar with the Sanjeev Jha family. A few days ago, Sanjeev booked an aeroplane ticket from an online hotel ticket booking site. Later, due to some reason, he had to cancel his air ticket. To get the ticket money, he searched Google and found out the customer care number. When Sanjeev called that number and asked for the return of the air ticket, Sanjeev was told that in a short time you will get a call from the company.
Hacked mobile via link
After some time Sanjeev got a call from a young man, he described himself as an employee of the company and asked Sanjeev for the complete details of his bank account. A link was sent via message to Sanjeev. Through that link, the accused hacked Sanjeev’s mobile. After this, he took information from Sanjeev about his bank account linked to Google Pay. When Sanjeev informed her about the account, the accused made an excuse that money could not be transferred to that account. In such a situation, the accused asked Sanjeev for information about his second bank account. When Sanjeev gave information about another bank account, the accused also withdrew money from that account. According to the report, the accused withdrew Rs 1,01,190 from both Sanjeev’s bank accounts. The victim then filed a case with the police. Police is investigating the case.
