Finance Minister Nirmala Sita Raman said in her budget speech today that LIC’s IPO is expected to come soon. Due to the decisions of the last budget, better growth has been seen in the economy. The foundation for the next 25 years has been laid in this budget. Our emphasis is on creating a better thrust for the middle class. He further said that there has been an improvement in economic activities due to vaccination. In today’s budget, emphasis has been laid on the development of the citizens of the country. The Finance Minister also said that 60 lakh jobs will be given under ‘Make in India’.
In this budget speech, he further said that PM Gatishakti Yojana is necessary for “India at 100”. PM Gatishakti scheme is continuing with full capacity. This plan will be in 2 phases. Clean energy, climate is our priority in the plan. Gati Shakti Yojana will improve the infrastructure of the states.
World class infra will be created under PM Gatishakti Yojana. National Highway network is planned to be increased to 25,000 KM by 2022-23. The government will spend Rs 20,000 crore on highway expansion.
In this scheme, 4 multimodal logistics parks will be set up under PPP model and rail infrastructure will be developed for small farmers. With this, 400 new Vande Bharat trains will run in 3 years. Also 100 PM Gatishakti Cargo Terminal will be built. At the same time, there is a plan to run a mountain rope way in the hilly areas. 8 new ropeways will be ordered in FY23 and innovative methods of innovative funding will be adopted for the new metro rail.
Presenting the general budget in Lok Sabha, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the economic growth in FY22 is estimated to be at 9.2%. The government plans to provide 16 lakh jobs from self-reliant India. Infra Development Bank and NARCL have started the work. The focus continues to drive growth. Self-reliant India has got good response. The PLI schemes launched to promote manufacturing have received a good response.
Promotion of chemical free natural farming
Speaking further in his budget speech, the FM further said that the government plans to promote chemical free natural farming. The farm procurement value done so far in FY22 has been Rs 2.37 lakh crore. Apart from this, the government will give 2.7 lakh crores to the farmers under MSP. We plan to promote technology innovation in the agri sector through drones. Along with this, the focus of the government is on increasing the domestic production of oil and oilseeds. For this, the government is emphasizing on promoting Agri universities. Agriculture sector startups will be funded from NABARD.
Allocation of Rs 1400 crore to Ken-Betwa project
The government has allocated Rs 1400 crore to the Ken-Betwa project. Apart from this, funding will be done for 5 river linking plans. The Finance Minister further said that further Rahat package will be given to the farmers of fruits and vegetables.
Decision to increase ECLGS i.e. Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme
For MSMEs, FM also said that it has been decided to increase ECLGS i.e. Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme. He further said in his address that the hotel sector has reached the pre-covid level. There is a plan to run a 5-year program for the improvement of MSMEs. It may cost Rs 6,000 crore. Apart from this, we also have a focus on promoting drone power through startups through startups.
One Class, One TV Channel Scheme for Education
Talking about the education system in this address, he said that one class, one TV channel scheme will be run for education. PM e-Vidya program will be up to 200 channels. Along with this, digital university will be formed.
Plan to bring digital platform for health ecosystem
In his address on the health system, he said that there is a plan to bring a digital platform for the health ecosystem. Mental health has deteriorated due to the pandemic. Keeping this in mind, the National Tele-Mental Health Program will be launched. On the Anganwadi scheme, the Finance Minister said that 2 lakh Anganwadis will be upgraded in the country. An allocation of Rs.60,000 crore is being made for the tap scheme for the improvement of drinking water in the country. With this, an allocation of Rs 48,000 crore is being made on the PM Housing Plan. There is a plan to build 80 lakh houses under PM Awas Yojana.
In this address, he further said that a plan is being launched for the North-East of the country. Development of North East will be done under Gati Shakti Scheme.
