At present, where the Sensex has gained 22 percent since the last budget, the Nifty has also strengthened 23 percent. The wealth of investors increased by 75 lakh crores
So far, the wealth of investors has increased by about 75 lakh crores. The market cap of the companies listed on BSE was Rs 1,86,12,644.03 crore before the presentation of the budget on the last trading day of January 2021 i.e. February 1. At the same time, it has closed on 28 January 2022 at Rs 2,61,07,704.23 crore. That is, during this period there has been an increase of about Rs 75 lakh crore.
Sensex up 10325 points
In the year 2021, the budget was presented on 1 February. Since then, the Sensex has gained 10325 points or 22 percent. At the same time, Nifty has strengthened 32850 points or about 24 percent during this period. Talking about the broader market, the BSE 500 has gained 29 percent. The BSE Midcap Index has given a return of around 33 per cent and the BSE Smallcap Index has given a return of around 61 per cent. Since the budget, there has been a rally in the market for most of the months. However, since November 2021, some selling has come in the market. But global sentiments have been more responsible for this.
