Dear Friends,
I understand that during Corona, the lives of most of us have been derailed by the budget. Hence, due to the declining family income, we feel the need for money control. But, those who control money have allowed money to get out of control. So we all have our eyes on inflation. Inflation means that something which was cheap earlier has become very expensive.
An article on a website read, “Expectations are high a week before Union Budget 2022. Experts suggest that this is because the common taxpayer has not received much relief in the last two years.” this is true. The only relief has been the new portal of Income Tax. But, enough has been talked about Info Siege. It has appeared mostly in C in recent times. Well, because there is a rush of goods at ports around the world. But, this rush is expected to be cleared before your income tax refund.
It is expected that the investment deduction under 80C will be increased from Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 2 lakh. And the medical insurance under 80D will increase from Rs 25,000. To compensate for the loss of revenue due to this, I want to levy a surcharge under section 80-3 on those who commercially use India’s victory in the 1983 World Cup.
It is natural for people to expect relief from the government amid rising medical expenses. But, TikTok videos on thirdwave can be expected to increase healthcare allocation to deal with thirdwave. To cover this additional expenditure on mental health, I propose to levy a surcharge on a person who calls himself a content creator, influencer or crypto bro. And surcharge should be levied on surcharge if their video starts like “Hi friends aaj hum baat karnega…”
People are also expecting the interest deduction on home loans to come down. Because if you get injured at home then what can be better than adding home loan EMI to your mental health. Therefore, to compensate for the loss due to revenue, I propose to levy a surcharge on all such builders who name the building in Versova after Greek gods. And surcharge should be imposed on those who have the courage to use the ‘New Café Parade’ for Wadala.
We expect the government to spend on infrastructure and create a monetization pipeline for national assets. With the sale of Air India, we have at least got a break from the demonetisation pipeline. But, what will happen to the pending disinvestment of BPCL? Actually, the problem lies in the disinvestment term. The government itself appears to be deeply disinterested in disinvesting its interests.
I want to add more words to this article so that I can manage my fiscal deficit properly. But, unfortunately, the editorial control of my money is in the hands of Moneycontrol.
