Budget 2021 Schemes Announced: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has presented the budget for the financial year 2021-22. This is the third budget of the second term of the Modi government. This budget has become very important due to Corona epidemic and subsequent economic crisis. In the budget, the government’s focus was on boosting the economy through health, infrastructure and reform. Many new schemes have also been announced in the budget.
PM Self Reliant Healthy India Scheme
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said that soon the PM Self-Reliant Healthy India Scheme will be launched. Under this scheme, the government will spend Rs 64,180 crore in the next 6 years. These expenses will be spent on primary, secondary and tertiary health care. Under this scheme, 17,788 rural and 11,024 urban health and wellness centers will be supported. Integrated Public Health Lab will be set up in all districts and 3382 block public health units in 11 states. Under the scheme, critical care hospital blocks will be set up in 602 districts and 12 central institutions.
Mission Nutrition 2.0
Finance Minister Sitharaman said in the budget that to strengthen nutrition, delivery, access, he will launch Mission Nutrition 2.0 by adding nutrition campaign and supplementary nutritional program. The speech said that a strategy should be adopted to improve nutritional outcomes in 112 ambitious districts.
Water Life Mission (Urban)
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in her budget speech also announced the launch of Jal Jeevan Mission (Urban). Its goal is to ensure water supply to all 4,378 urban local bodies, with 2.86 crore domestic tap connections. And liquid waste management has to be seen in 500 AMRUT cities. This will be done in 5 years, for which Rs 2,87,000 crore has been allocated.
Budget 2021 for Youth: Rs 3000 crore will be spent to make youth skilled
Voluntary vehicle scrapping policy
The Finance Minister has announced to launch a voluntary vehicle scrapping policy. Under this, 20-year-old private vehicles and 15-year-old commercial vehicles will not be able to hit the roads. It is believed that this announcement of the budget will prove to give a boost to the auto sector. The finance minister has said in his budget speech that this will be a stratting policy voluntary, which will be run phasewise.
Urban Clean India Mission 2.0
In the budget speech about Urban Swachh Bharat Mission 2.0, it has been said that it will be implemented with a total allocation of Rs 1,41,678 crore during the next five years i.e. 2021-26.
Mega Investment Textiles Parks (MITRA)
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said in the budget speech that Mega Investment Textiles Parks (MITRA) will be launched in addition to the PLI scheme, to make the textile industry competitive worldwide, attract large investments and create job opportunities. Its aim is to create a global champion in exports. Seven textile parks will be set up in the next three years.
National Rail Scheme, 2030
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the Indian Railways has prepared the National Rail Scheme, 2030 for the country. Its purpose is to prepare the railway system for the future by 2030.
Scheme for public bus service
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said in the budget that they are working to increase the share of public transport in urban areas. To increase public bus transport services, a new scheme will be launched at a cost of Rs 18,000 crore. With the help of the scheme, PPP model will be used for maintenance, finance and operation of more than 20 thousand buses in the private sector. This will also increase job opportunities.
Hydrogen Energy Mission
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said in the budget that the Prime Minister had announced plans to launch a Comprehensive National Hydrogen Energy Mission at the Third Re-inVest Conference in November 2020. He said that in 2021-22, it is proposed to launch the Hydrogen Energy Mission to produce hydrogen from green power sources.
