People say that after increasing the price of wheat and flour, we also have to increase the price of naan and roti because we have no other option.
Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan
Pakistan Wheat Crisis: People in Pakistan will now find it difficult to get even two-time roti because the price of flour has increased drastically here. The price of roti in Lahore city has exceeded eight rupees (Roti Price in Pakistan). This price has now increased from Rs 8 to Rs 10 (Pakistan Wheat Flour Price). However, so far no announcement has been made regarding the price of naan and kulcha. People of the Nanbai community, who are involved in the business of making naan and roti, say that the flour has become very expensive.
They say, ‘We are getting 20 kg flour packet now for Rs 1070, whereas earlier it was priced at Rs 860.’ He said that ‘the price of bread has also been increased because flour has become expensive.’ Earlier in June last year, the Nanbai people of Lahore had increased the price of roti and naan (Pakistan Wheat). Even then he had said that flour has become expensive. At that time the price of roti was increased from Rs.6 to Rs.8. Whereas Naan was reduced from Rs.12 to Rs.15.
Defense budget has increased
These people say that after increasing the price of wheat and flour, we also have to increase the price of naan and roti because we have no other option other than this (Pakistan Wheat Price Today). The Government of Pakistan has recently presented a budget of Rs 8,48,700 crore for the new financial year. In which the defense budget of Rs 1,37,000 crore is also included. This budget is more than last year. After which the price of bread has been announced to increase. This is also surprising because despite the locust attack, the production of all crops including wheat, rice, sugarcane and maize has registered an increase in 2020-21.
Inflation increased sharply in a week
The prices of food items have increased in Pakistan this week. In a survey conducted by Business Recorder, it has been found that everything from eggs to chicken has become expensive. Here the price of eggs was Rs 4,000 per carton in a week, which has now become Rs 4,350 per carton (Pakistan Wheat Price). Where eggs used to get Rs 70-80 a dozen in summer, now they are getting Rs 160 a dozen. Apart from this, surf, bath soap, shampoo and other household items have also become expensive.
