After filing ITR, verification is forgotten, 30th September is the last chance,

Employees and businessmen have to file Income Tax Return once a year. Often, some mistakes are made when filing ITRs due to haste or due to change in rules. In such a situation, you get a chance to fill the revised return. While some people file the tax returns correctly, but forget to verify it. Due to which the problem may occur later. If you are also one of these, then the Income Tax Department is giving you one time relaxation. Under this, taxpayers can get their returns verified by 30 September 2020.

The Income Tax Department is offering a return verification by the Income Tax Department to those taxpayers who have e-filed the returns for the assessment year (Assessment Years -AY) from 2015-16 to 2019-20. You can easily do the process of verification from home. For this you can resort to OTP, EVC or net banking. So let’s know how to complete this process.

To verify the income tax return file, it is necessary to have Aadhaar link with PAN. Now go to e-filing portal www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in to use OTP. After this, click on the e-Verify link and select the e-verify return using bank Aadhaar OTP option. After doing this, a message will come to your registered mobile number through which you can do the verification.

Verification possible from ATM
Swipe the card on the machine to verify the income tax return from the bank ATM. Now enter the PIN for e-filing. After doing this, EVC (electronic Verification Code) will come on the registered mobile number. Now log in to the e-filing portal and select the e-verify return using bank ATM option. After this, put the EVC found in the phone and your verification will be done.

Complete the process with net banking
Net banking can also be used to verify returns. For this, log in to the banking account. Now click on the income tax e-filing link provided by the bank. Then click on the e-verify link against the return to be verified. Verification will be completed as soon as you do
