Important things related to the plan

The insured will get the benefit of the Atal Insured Person Welfare Scheme only if the employee has worked for at least 2 years before leaving the job in an institution or company. Also, should have contributed at least 78 days during the period of contribution to ESIC. Apart from this, the applicant has to make a claim for the scheme within 30 days to go to the job.

The benefits of the scheme will not be available to those who are registered with ESIC, but the company has fired the employee for his misbehaviour. In such a case, the applicant will not be considered eligible. Apart from this, if a person has a criminal case filed, or if the person has taken retirement (VRS) before the date of retirement, then he will not get the benefit of this scheme.

What is Atal Insured Person’s Welfare Scheme?

Those who have lost their job since March 24 will be given a three-month 50% salary unemployment benefit under the Atal Insured Person Welfare Scheme. That is, those who worked in the industrial sector, but who have become unemployed in the Corona crisis, will be given unemployment allowance from the government.
