Today, if you have taken an appointment with a doctor, then definitely make an inquiry. The reason for this is that today doctors across the country are on strike. The Indian Medical Association (IMA) announced to stop non-covid medical services across the country for 11 December. All non-emergency and non-COVID medical services will be stopped from 6 am to 6 pm today. During this time, OPD will also be closed and there will be no elective surgery. Emergency services will continue, however. This opposition of doctors is happening due to a notification from the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM). Under this notification, post-graduates from Ayurveda have also been approved for general surgery.

IMA rejects ‘mixopathy’
The IMA has stated that it is not against any medicine system if it prescribes medicines under its system, that is, it gives medicines under its system to the patients it visits. The IMA called the doctors of Ayurveda the general approval of the surgery to be mixopathy and asked to dismiss it. The IMA is constantly appealing against it on Twitter and has written that the people should be saved from the surgeon and save the originality of modern medicine.
Performed during ‘Bharat Bandh’
A few days ago, on 8 October, the farmers unions called for ‘Bharat Bandh’. On this day too, the IMA had publicly protested against Mixopathy at 10,000 places across the country. The performance was from 12 noon to 2 pm on 8 December.
