On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi (Narendra Modi) held a meeting with Chief Ministers of various states regarding the COVID 19 situation. We will soon discuss with the states and prepare a detailed plan. There is a need to create a task force at the state, district and even block level.
PM Modi said that the development of COVID vaccine at the international and national level is in the final stage. However, we still do not have exact answers to some questions. But we are fully prepared for all possibilities. The final decision on the rollout of the vaccine will be taken after negotiating with the states.
Safety is also necessary with speed
He said that the experience that India has with regard to the coronavirus vaccine, is not even with the big countries of the world. The speed required for us is equally important. Right from the beginning of the fight with Corona, we have given priority to saving the life of every countryman. Now even after the introduction of the vaccine, our priority will be to reach everyone. Whatever vaccine India gives to its citizens, it will meet every scientific criterion.
PM Modi said that our team is continuously working with Indian developers and manufacturers regarding the vaccine. We are also trying to increase real time communication with global regulators, governments of other countries, multi-national institutions and international companies.
Which vaccine should be given first, will be decided with the states
PM Modi further said that as far as the distribution of the vaccine is concerned, its preparation is also being done jointly with all the states. Who will be vaccinated on the basis of priority, it will also be decided jointly with the states. The suggestion of every state will have a lot of importance in it because ultimately they have an idea how it will happen in their states. PM Modi said that states should now work on increasing cold storage capacity with full vigor. We will soon discuss with the states and prepare a detailed plan. There is a need to create a task force at the state, district and even block level.
PM Modi said that India’s campaign related to the corona vaccine is like a national commitment for every countryman. Such a huge vaccination campaign in the country, without any hindrance, should be systemic and well run, it is the responsibility of the central and state government.

Thousands of new ventilators are being provided to hospitals from this fund. 2000 crores has been allocated for this.
He further said that we have to intensify our efforts to reduce the spread of the virus. We have to bring the positivity rate to at least 5 percent. The number of RT-PCR tests will have to be increased and the monitoring of isolated patients will also have to be improved.
