89% recovery rate in Delhi
So far 5,03,084 cases have been reported in Delhi, out of which many people have been cured. The number of active cases in Delhi reached 42458 after 7,486 new cases were reported on Wednesday. Thus the recovery rate in Delhi is more than 89 percent. The National Center for Disease Control had warned in a recent report that Delhi should be prepared for winter as more than 15,000 new cases could come up every day due to the outpatients and festive crowds.

660 ICU beds will be provided
Due to increasing cases of corona infection, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has said that 660 ICU beds will be increased in government hospitals within the next few days. Apart from this, he has sent a proposal to the Lieutenant Governor, under which the Central Government has sought approval to impose local lockdown in the crowded areas of Delhi. Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain has clarified the situation on this, saying that no lockdown will be imposed in Delhi but some restrictions can be imposed in crowded areas so that the corona infection cannot spread.
Doctors studying, interns and BDS doctors will also do duty
Due to increasing cases of corona infection, the Delhi government has passed an order. Under this, Covid-19 hospitals have now been approved to keep MBBS students, interns and BDS doctors for their fourth and fifth year. They will be given 1 thousand rupees on 8-hour shift and 2 thousand rupees on 12-hour shift. The intern will also get this amount along with stipend which has been earmarked for duty in Covid-19 hospitals.
Current status of Delhi
According to the bulletin issued by the Delhi Health Department, 7,541 of the 16,884 beds of Covid hospitals here are empty. There are 503 bedded quarantined people in Covid Care Center. In this, there are people coming here under the Vanda Bharat Mission or Bubble Flights. The number of tests in Delhi has also increased in the last few days and on some days it becomes more than 60 thousand. There were 19,085 RT-PCR tests and 43,147 rapid antigen tests on Tuesday. Till Tuesday, 2.94 lakh tests were done per million while the total test exceeded 55.9 lakhs.

More than 4.5 lakh active cases in the country
Talking about the whole country, the number of active cases of corona infection has increased from 4,53,401 to 4,46,805. So far, 89,58,483 cases of corona have been reported in the country, out of which 83,35,109 people have been cured and 1,30,993 people have died. Most cases have been reported in Maharashtra. In Maharashtra, 17,52,509 cases of corona have been reported, of which 1,62,35,03 people have been cured and 46,102 have died. In all the states and union territories of the country, there was no case of corona in Lakshadweep alone.
