On the global exchange, the price of bitcoin was down 4.86 per cent at $44,709 (approximately Rs.34 lakh) in the last 24 hours. Despite the price drop, bitcoin has remained in the green for the past week, according to data from CoinGecko.
Ether, the world’s second largest cryptocurrency, also declined as the week ended. At the time of writing this news, Ether was priced at $3,348 (approximately Rs 2.5 lakh) on CoinSwitch Kuber, while the price of crypto on the global exchange was $3,258 (approximately Rs 2.5 lakh), a decline of 3.78 percent in the last 24 hours.
CoinGecko data shows that the value of ETH has risen by more than 4.6 percent over the past week and more than 9% since March 1.
Gadgets 360’s crypto price tracker shows that altcoins are also under increasing bearish pressure. The global crypto market cap also saw a decline of 4.44 percent in the last 24 hours. Cardano, Solana, Polygon, Binance Coin, Avalanche, and Terra all posted significant losses in the past days, with TRON being the only cryptocurrency to remain in the green.
The price of Mime Coin Shiba Inu and Dogecoin has also seen a decline. Dodgecoin was priced at $0.14 (approximately Rs.11), after a decline of 4.49 per cent over the past 24 hours, while the Shiba Inu was priced at $0.000026 (approximately Rs.0.002), down 6.41 per cent from the previous day.
