The Uttar Pradesh Madarsa Education Board has determined Urdu, Arabic, Persian and ‘Diniyat’ (spiritual educating) to be taught as one topic as a substitute of separate texts. This transfer has been criticised by a lecturers’ affiliation.

Question papers for the remainder of the topics, Hindi, English, Mathematics, Science and Social Science might be separate.
As per the Teachers Association Madarise Arabiya Uttar Pradesh, the choice was in opposition to the provisions of the Education Code and the Madrasa Board Act of 2004. The fundamental type of madrasa schooling could be destroyed if the choice is applied, it added.
The affiliation has written to the Principal Secretary of the Minority Welfare Department, demanding withdrawal of the board’s proposals.
There are a complete of 32,827 lecturers in these madarsas, 16,461 madarsas in Uttar Pradesh, out of which 560 get authorities grants.
