The Delhi authorities has requested the colleges run by it to organize their future methods to bridge the educational hole that has widened because of the COVID-19 pandemic and mentioned the main target of the colleges must be on constructing “conceptual understanding”.
Deputy Chief Minister and state schooling minister Manish Sisodia held an interplay with the principals of the Delhi authorities colleges on Thursday. It was attended by over 800 faculty principals from all throughout Delhi.
The minister instructed the principals to set minimal benchmarks of their colleges concerning infrastructure, cleanliness and setting.
“We need to think about our future strategies now to bridge the learning gap that has widened due to the pandemic in the last two years. We need to start from the point where we left two years ago and strategies accordingly. There is no rush to complete the syllabus. The focus of the schools should be on building conceptual understanding,” Sisodia mentioned.
“It is the responsibility of the school heads to set their own accountability for their schools and ensure that nothing in the schools falls below the minimum benchmark set by them,” the deputy chief minister mentioned.
For this, the federal government will present all the required amenities and funds to the colleges, he mentioned, including that Directorate of Education (DoE) officers will go to the colleges once in a while.
The interplay between Sisodia and the principals was principally centred across the tutorial priorities of the colleges, cleanliness and upkeep of the school rooms and creating a constructive classroom tradition.
