The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 was introduced after 34 years with the promise that it will give new energy to the Indian education system, especially in the field of higher education. During the last several years, many people, institutions and officials associated with the field of education ensured reforms in the field of primary education, but higher education was generally ignored. But now through the National Education Policy (NEP), a blueprint of such reforms has been presented, which will improve not only in the field of primary and higher education but also in technical education. Through this, we will be able to prepare our next generation for employment according to the needs of the industries.
In fact, even in these unprecedented times, technological disruption has transformed the form of education around the world into an easily accessible medium, making it possible for newcomers to adopt this essential additional skill. It is true that these reforms have their pros and cons during a pandemic, but the benefits far outweigh the disadvantages. Along with playing its fundamental role in providing context for human development, education has now become an instrument of economic progress. With the increasing inclination towards economic development, there is a need for the education industry to upgrade and improve the skills of human resources in a timely manner to avoid becoming obsolete. This is the reason for the progressive change towards a mixed model, where the fundamental objective of higher education is equally accepted, as well as an easily adopted approach for the overall development of the economy as well as human resources. makes. Therefore, while the proposed policies are put into practice, the enlightening words of Albert Einstein should be taken into account. He once said, “The value of a college education is not to learn many facts but to prepare the mind to think.”
Education regulators are promoting methods such as technical competence and critical thinking and multitasking to solve complex problems, in order to properly keep up with the demand for skills by modern technology and accelerate the pace of work people. to ensure that, which also enhances competition. There has to be a mixed-method that captures the essence of recreational values in society equally along with the basics that we have been learning over the years. As a result, there will also be a need for a novel approach of teachers, which will now assess their competency on new parameters; Especially with the multi-language curriculum format in which students find it difficult to adapt to English or the language currently in use in the early stages.
In fact, India’s teachers are also ready to incorporate languages as well as international theory as a progressive reform that makes India a global hub. I am only reminded of Benjamin Franklin’s words, “The best interest comes from investing in education” and it seems to me that these reforms are an investment. The better these reforms are, the better the people of the future will be. Development fluctuates in proportion to the amount of education a country provides, especially higher education. India’s one step towards liberal education is an opportunity to shape the future. The transformation from a standardized pedagogy to a customized pedagogy as per the talents of the students leaves a mark on the whole world and it shows that the land of India is full of its rich heritage of culture and heritage, literature and innovation. Thus, effective implementation of a new education policy will help in transforming the society at large with a conceptual framework.
In addition, as the form of education continues to improve, it is the duty of the regulating authorities to avoid creating negativity between the industry and its stakeholders due to these reforms. The most important thing is to do it through an adjusted and synthesized process to align the potential development in each possible area with the action plan. It is even more important to have an action plan supported by research work in areas showing India’s importance with a distinguished and expansive location for higher and technical education. This is possible when an integrated approach of incorporating emotional competencies, life and information comprehension skills along with core areas of studies is adopted by universities and educational institutions. However, it is often observed that institutions lack emphasis on speaking on sensitive subjects, it is the right time for autonomous institutions and authorities to lay down a code for students and teachers so that they can move from reading to fleeting and sensitive topics. Feel comfortable in handling complex subjects.
If all the issues mentioned above are implemented, then this can give a new direction to the education system of the country, so that instead of becoming a mere far-reaching proposition, this initiative can actually write a new record of progress.
