Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday has stated that the federal government is working for the holistic improvement of tribal communities and selling entrepreneurship among the many youth and ladies.
The LG conferred the first-ever UT-level Tribal Awards at SKICC and felicitated people and establishments for his or her exemplary providers to tribal welfare and achievements within the area of sports activities, training, tradition, literature and science and expertise.
“The initiative to acknowledge the achievements and services of the tribal community will encourage many more to work for the welfare of the others,” the minister stated.
In addition, the Lt governor has introduced that 500 tribal youths will probably be educated below the Financial Literacy Programme proposed by Bombay Stock Exchange and Punjab National Bank.
For sustainable livelihood of the youth, the administration has arrange mini sheep farms within the tribal areas. Efforts are being made to hyperlink the tribal youth with the dairy sector. Besides, programmes of talent improvement and vocational coaching has been launched to deliver a big inhabitants into the mainstream economic system, Sinha stated.
On the event, MoUs have been signed between Tribal Affairs division, IIT Jammu and Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University in Rajouri for establishing Tribal Chair in each the institutes.
The Lt Governor termed the institution of Tribal Chairs a milestone in tutorial analysis and preserving the cultural heritage of the tribal group.
“It will bridge the gap in research and institutional support. The collaboration will work towards preservation of rare books, language styles, socio-cultural heritage and most importantly, the documented history can be digitized,” he stated.
