Refund will be easy with IRCTC service
Most of the population of the country is dependent on rail service for commuting. But due to the cancellation of many trains during the Corona period, their ticket money has been stuck. At the same time, many passengers have canceled their tickets themselves. Usually, for cancellation of tickets booked through online, passengers have to wait for 48-72 hours to get refund, but Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has made a difference between its website and mobile app for the convenience of passengers. A new feature has been introduced for Through which passengers can get instant refund.
Passengers can avail the facility of instant refund using “IRCTC iPay”. Railways has equipped its payment gateway “Auto Pay” with “i-pay” facility. This allows the customer to debit his UPI bank account or other payment instruments through a mandate facility which will make it easier for him to get the refund. This will also save time.
will save time
This facility reduces the refund time for tatkal bookings as it takes longer time for refund and usually cancels the ticket by looking at the waiting list. But it will take less time than auto pay. In this, the entire booking amount is debited only when the confirmed ticket is booked. Whereas in the case of waiting list, where the booking waiting list is prepared even after the final chart is prepared. In this, the passenger will get a refund after deducting the cancellation charge on canceling the ticket.
Chances of getting a confirmed ticket will increase
IRCTC recently upgraded its user interface of internet ticketing website www.irctc.co.in to improve the booking experience. Apart from this, IRCTC also started its payment gateway IRCTC-iPay, which is live. Through this, the payment will be faster in ticket booking, so lakhs of passengers who book tatkal tickets daily will have convenience, because they will not get stuck and which will increase the chances of getting a confirmed ticket.
