Aadhar card has become a major means of personal identification nowadays. That’s why it is used for every important work. But due to this many people also misuse Aadhaar. In such a situation, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has warned that all 12 digit numbers should not be considered as Aadhaar, check it first, otherwise you can be a victim of fraud. Therefore, before accepting the Aadhar card as the identity proof of the card holder, make sure to verify it.
Aadhar card verification can be done online. For this, log on to the official website of UIDAI at uidai.gov.in/verify. UIDAI has also made a tweet in this regard. In which it reads, “All 12 digit numbers are not Aadhaar. Aadhaar must be verified before accepting it as an identity proof.”

aadhar card verification process
1. Log on to the website uidai.gov.in/verify for verification of Aadhar card number.
2. Now enter the 12 digit Aadhaar number and enter the security code or captcha.
3. Then click on Verify option.
4. By doing this the authenticity of the 12 digit number will be visible on the screen of your computer monitor or smartphone.
Aadhar related disturbances will be removed sitting at home
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has issued toll free number 1947 to correct the errors related to Aadhaar. This helpline number will also help you to get Aadhaar enrollment centres, Aadhaar number status after enrollment and other Aadhaar related information. Apart from this, you can take advantage of this facility even if your Aadhar card is lost or not received by post yet.
