SurveySparrow, a Kochi-based experience solutions service provider company, has announced a new initiative to recruit women. This company said that it will give a ‘joining bonus’ of 50 thousand rupees to the female candidates joining her. The company said that under this initiative, this bonus will be given to women applying for the post of a product developer, quality analyst and technical writer by March 15.
These women will have to join the company by 15 April. The company announced this initiative on March 8 on the occasion of Women’s Day. Most of the hiring is outside Kochi and the company needs 50 new employees. Citing a study by the Center for Science and Environment, the company has said that only 16 percent of women have been able to resume their jobs after the relaxation of the lockdown. Company founder Shihab Mohammed said that the report claimed that women’s participation in the workforce has come down to its lowest level.
Female and male employees in the ratio 50:50
Shihab Mohammed said that from the beginning we have worked on the policy of keeping female and male employees in the company in the ratio of 50:50. Before the launch of this initiative, the ratio within the company was reduced to 30:70. Apart from this, the company is giving work from home to its employees and furniture expenses to the employees working from home. Apart from this, an internet bill is also being given. In the lockdown, the company has given an increment of up to 30 percent to its employees.
100 employees are associated with the company
In 2020, 50,000 customers and 100 employees were associated with the company. This year, a target has been set to double it. Mohammed said that after the ‘joining bonus’ we will start the first virtual hackathon ‘Hacker Flow’. Under this, developers, students and those interested in coding will be brought under one platform.
