IFSC Codes of Syndicate Bank branches will change from 1st July 2021. Customers will have to use the new CANARIFSC to receive funds through NEFT/RTGS/IMPS. Canara Bank has said that the new IFSC URL will be available at canarabank.com/IFSC.html or on the website of Canara Bank. The new IFSC address can also be found by visiting the Canara Bank branch. Syndicate Bank and Canara Bank were merged in April 2020. After this Canara Bank became the fourth largest public sector bank in the country.
Use of new check book
Now the customers of Syndicate Bank will have to use the new check book using the changed IFSC and MICR code.
From July 1, SWIFT codes of Syndicate Bank used for foreign currency transactions will also not work. Canara Bank has asked all its customers to use the SWIFT Code (CNRBINBBFD) for any foreign exchange transaction.
How to update IFSC
The existing IFSC of Syndicate Bank branches will work only till 30 June 2021. The new IFSC will be applicable from 1st July 2021. Therefore, customers of Syndicate Bank should update the IFSC code early so that their banking relationship activities are not affected. This work can also be done by contacting Canara Bank’s customer care service on 18004250018. You can also easily change your IFSC code by sending a message from the mobile number registered with your bank. Syndicate Bank and Canara Bank merged in April 2020. After this Canara Bank became the fourth largest public sector bank in the country. The merger of the old bank with each other has led to changes in IFSC on a large scale. Due to the merger of many banks of the country, their IFSC code has changed. Because of this, customers of many banks have to use new checkbooks.
