SBI cautions users that clicking on these phishing links may result in loss of your personal and confidential information.

State Bank of India, the country’s largest state-run bank, has alerted its crores of customers to click on links that claim that the bank is giving free gifts. The bank said in a tweet, SBI neither runs nor supports any such gift/lottery scheme. Many users have become victims of such phishing link fraud in the affair of free gifts. On clicking that link, users are redirected to a page where their personal information is asked.
SBI said, we advise you not to click on any link or share any banking details. Report any such fraud to the concerned agency.
The bank tweeted on its official website, cautioning the users, are you getting these links in your inbox. Stay away from them. By clicking on these phishing links, your personal and confidential information can be leaked. So be careful. Think before clicking on any link.

Warned against KYC fraud
Let us inform that on Wednesday, SBI had alerted people against KYC fraud. The bank issued an alert through a post on Twitter, alerting people that fraudsters are cheating people in the name of their Know Your Customer (KYC) verification. SBI said in a tweet, KYC fraud is real and it has spread across the country. Fraudsters are sending text messages posing as bank/company representatives to get your personal details.
The bank said that to avoid fraudsters, follow three tips. First- Think before clicking on any link. Second- The bank never sends the link for updating KYC. Third- Do not share your mobile number and confidential data with anyone.
