Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman organized a tea session for all the 11 women members of the Union Council of Ministers. In addition to incumbent cabinet ministers Nirmala Sitharaman and Smriti Irani, ministers of state Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti and Renuka Singh Saruta, seven new women ministers who were inducted into the government on Wednesday enjoyed the tea session.
On Wednesday, only one woman minister was among those who were dropped from the council of ministers. Minister of State for Women and Child Development Debashree Choudhary was removed from the Council of Ministers.

The Finance Minister’s Twitter wrote, “Nirmala Sitharaman interacted with women members of the Union Council of Ministers at a tea session held at her home today.” Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani, Minister of State for Rural Development Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti and Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Renuka Singh Saruta also participated in the session.
