Along with petrol, diesel has also become costlier by 25 paise today and is being sold at Rs 89.57 per liter. Diesel has become costlier by 70 paise per liter in four days. The cheapest petrol is available in Noida and the cheapest diesel in Delhi, Noida and Gurugram. Petrol is beyond 100 in Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Jammu and Kashmir, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Ladakh and some cities of Bihar and Punjab.
Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) revise oil prices every day on the basis of international price and foreign exchange rates. The price of petrol and diesel is fixed on the basis of freight charges, local taxes and VAT, due to which its prices are different in every state.

Most expensive petrol in metro cities in Mumbai
Talking about all the four major cities of the country, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai, the most expensive petrol is being sold in Mumbai. In the country’s financial capital Mumbai, petrol is being sold at Rs 107.47 per liter and diesel at Rs 97.21 per liter. The most expensive petrol in the country is being sold in Sriganganagar, Rajasthan. The price of petrol per liter in Sriganganagar is Rs 113.30. Apart from this, the country’s most expensive diesel is being sold in Sri Ganganagar itself and is priced at Rs 103.34 per liter.
