CBDT has given a big relief to the taxpayers on the date of 30 March. Earlier, taxpayers had to link PAN and Aadhaar link by today i.e. 31st March 2022, otherwise it would have become inactive. However, now it has been made a provision to keep PAN active without linking Aadhaar till March 31, 2023 next year. However, there is no relief in the linking fee i.e. there is a provision of Rs 500 till June and after that i.e. from July, there is a provision of fee of one thousand rupees.
