NTPC Results : Government’s giant power company NTPC has registered a growth of 17 percent in its profit in the first quarter (April-June) of the current financial year (2021-22). The company’s profit stood at Rs 2,948.94 crore in the first quarter of the last financial year (2020-21), while it increased to Rs 3,443.72 crore in the first quarter of the current financial year. According to the filing made by the company in the BSE, its earnings have also increased in the first quarter of the current financial year as compared to the first quarter of the previous financial year. In the first quarter of the last financial year, the company’s income stood at Rs 26,794.68 crore, while during the first quarter of this financial year, the income increased to Rs 30,390 crore.
Increase in the production of the company
The production of the company has also increased. In the first quarter of the financial year 2020-21, the company generated 60.18 billion units of electricity. At the same time, in the first quarter of the current financial year, it generated 71.74 billion units of electricity.
Plant load factor also improved
In the June quarter, the company’s plants supplied 451 million tonnes of coal, compared to 41.9 million tonnes in the same period last year. The company’s plant load factor, ie capacity utilization, grew by 69.68 per cent in the June quarter as compared to 68.22 per cent in the same period last fiscal. The company’s power tariff in the April-June-quarter was Rs 3.73 per unit. Whereas in the same period last year it was Rs 3.98 per unit.

Company will raise capital of 18 thousand crores
According to the company, its board of directors has given approval for raising capital of Rs 18,000 crore. This amount can be raised by issuing bonds or debentures or through other means. This capital is also raised through private placement.
