In October 2007, the erstwhile cluster improvement scheme Small Industries Cluster Development Programme (SICDP) was renamed MSE-CDP and was final revised in 2019. The scheme intends to assist the sustainability and progress of MSEs by addressing widespread points corresponding to enchancment of know-how, abilities, high quality, market entry, and so forth., by means of a cluster method.

The tasks must be accomplished inside 18 months from the date of approval order of the challenge by the National Project Approval Committee (NPAC) chaired by Secretary MSME. Moreover, the present digital portal of the scheme could be revamped to digitise totally different levels of the journey of the challenge.
“The portal should capture the entire scheme workflow including application submission for MSE CDP proposals (both CFC and infrastructure development), uploading of approvals by states, application routing to the desired bank branch, uploading of sanction letter by banks, final approval order by the ministry, marking of disbursement by Banks, etc. The portal should also be used to map all the clusters in the country,” the ministry stated within the tips.
During FY22, 31 tasks (17 CFCs and 14 infrastructure improvement tasks) had been authorized of which 16 had been accomplished compared to 20 tasks accomplished in FY21 and 22 tasks accomplished in FY20, in line with the information accessible on the MSME Dashboard portal.
