Mid-cap Mutual Fund: Despite the market volatility, investment in equity mutual funds is once again being seen. Talking about the last 1 year, most of the equity of Mutual Fund has filled the pockets of investors. The average returns in the midcap and smallcap segment have been 94 per cent and 110 per cent. At the same time, around 70 percent of the returns were also found in the Lorgecap segment. It is clear that small and midcap stocks have bounced back, which have been underperformers for a long time. These stocks have risen after the economic growth outlook improved after the lockdown. While many frontline stocks are at high valuations, the valuation of many good stocks is still attractive for small and medium companies. Due to this, experts are giving preference to midcap and smallcap funds in the new financial year.

Estimates of increasing in midcap
AK Nigam, director of BNP Fincap, says that in the current times there is a fluctuation in the market, but after some more correction, the market stability will come. Further, the economy growth outlook is better. RBI has also forecast GDP growth to be in double digit in FY 2022. Consumption is expected to improve further. This will benefit small and mid-sized companies of the country. On the other hand, the valuation of lorgecap is still high. In such a situation, the midcap can outperform further.
Although it is important to note that mid-cap equity funds can give strong returns, but they also have higher market risk. In such a situation, if investors have the ability to take more risk, they can see this segment. Before deciding to invest, you must assess your financial goals and risk-taking ability. At the same time, it should be invested with a target of at least 10 years. Keep an eye on these funds….
