Social commerce platform Meesho will give a 10-day work break to all its employees this year so that they can get enough rest after the festival season and return to work refreshed. Announcing this on a LinkedIn post, Meesho has said that the company will not work from November 4 to November 14, so that the employees can return to work after working in the busy festival season.
64 optional holiday calendar for employees
Apart from these ten days, it is not that employees will get leave only on weekends or festivals. People working in Meesho have been given a calendar of 64 optional holidays. It also includes special days like Women’s Day, Book Lover’s Day and Valentine’s Day. The company has said that it understands that the corona pandemic has taken a toll on people’s mental health and their productivity. In another LinkedIn post, the company has said that it has updated the number of optional holidays. Now every employee will get 64 optional holidays. Apart from festivals, it also includes days like Women’s Day, Book Lover’s Day and Valentine’s Day.

Help app to sell goods to resellers through social media
Meesho app was started in 2015 by two classmates of IIT Delhi, Vidit Atre and Sanjeev Barnwal. It provides a platform to the manufacturers to connect them with the resellers. These customers sell the product to the end customer through social media platforms like WhatsApp and Facebook. It is headquartered in Bangalore and also provides payment and logistics services to resellers to help them with their transactions and sales. The company provides its service to about one crore resellers in 5 thousand cities of the country.
