new Delhi: The market capitalization of the top 10 Sensex companies recorded a strong fall of Rs 3,33,307.62 crore in the last week. At the same time, the market capitalization of BSE listed companies has come down to a seven-month low in February amid heavy losses in the stock markets. The market capitalization of listed companies declined to Rs 2,49,97,053.39 crore in February, 2022. Earlier in July 2021, the market capitalization of listed companies had come down to a low of Rs 2,35,49,748.9 crore. The market capitalization of listed companies stood at Rs 2,64,41,207.18 crore in January.
The market capitalization on Monday last week was Rs 2,57,39,712.95 crore. On Thursday, it came down to a low of Rs 2,42,24,179.79 crore. On the same day Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the launch of a military operation against Ukraine. The market capitalization of Reliance Industries declined by Rs 94,828.02 crore to Rs 15,45,044.14 crore last week. The market valuation of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) declined by Rs 1,01,760.91 crore to Rs 13,01,955.11 crore. HDFC Bank’s market valuation fell by Rs 31,597.65 crore to Rs 8,06,931.95 crore.

Infosys’s market position declined by Rs 5,501.34 crore to Rs 7,12,443.09 crore and that of ICICI Bank declined by Rs 13,240.66 crore to Rs 5,07,414.1 crore. Bharti Airtel’s market position declined by Rs 13,318.16 crore to Rs 3,78,098.62 crore. Reliance Industries retained the first position in the list of top 10 companies. It was followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, Infosys, Hindustan Unilever, ICICI Bank, HDFC, SBI, Bajaj Finance and Bharti Airtel respectively. (agency)
