    Jio 5G Testing: Reliance Jio and Qualcomm have successfully completed testing of 5G mobile network in India.

    Consumers will soon get the benefit of 5G facility in India. Actually Reliance Jio and Qualcomm have completed the testing of 5G mobile network in India with success. Both companies have given this information at a virtual event in San Diego, USA. Jio and Qualcomm announced that they have achieved speeds of over 1 Gbps on Reliance Jio 5GNR Solutions and Qualcomm 5G RAN platforms. Currently, 5G customers from countries like America, South Korea, Australia, Switzerland and Germany are getting 1Gbps internet speed facility worldwide. Now this facility will also be available in India.

    Faster data speed

    With 5G technology, users will get faster data speed and better experience. Qualcomm Technologies is the world’s leading wireless technology innovator and works on 5G technology. Reliance Jio said that it is working with Qualcomm on domestic 5G solutions and network infrastructure. The company is working on domestic 5G technology solutions which will be used in the retail and industrial segments.

    Indigenous 5G RAN ready

    Jio’s 5G technology will be completely indigenous. Jio has designed the indigenous 5G RAN (Radio Access Network) which is perfect for delivering ultra high speed output. This product has also been successfully tested in the US. Reliance Jio Infocom President Matthew Oommen said that we are becoming self-sufficient in developing 5G networks with Qualcomm Technologies and developing secure RAN solutions and Jio platforms.

    5G was announced in RIL AGM

    About three months ago, on July 15, at the AGM of Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani announced 5G technology. Mukesh Ambani had said that Reliance Jio is ready for testing 5G technology as soon as 5G spectrum is available.

    Qualcomm holds 0.15% stake in Jio

    In July this year, Qualcomm Inc., the investment arm of Qualcomm Venture, announced an investment in Jio platforms. Qualcomm had invested Rs 730 crore for a 0.15 per cent stake in Jio Platforms.
