Mukesh Ambani said that in 2021, Jio will bring 5G revolution in India. The entire network will be indigenous. Apart from this, hardware and technology will also be indigenous. We will fulfill the dream of self-reliant India through Jio. Jio will lead 5G revolution. Ambani said that India should take a decision regarding 5G spectrum as soon as possible. India can become a manufacturing hub of semi-conductor in the coming days. We cannot rely solely on imports for semi-conductors.
Policy intervention required for 2G phone customers
Mukesh Ambani has advocated policy intervention to bring 300 million 2G phone customers to smartphones in India. Ambani said that with this 2G customers will also be able to take advantage of digital changes. The chairman of Reliance Industries said that India is the most ‘digitally connected’ country in the world today. He said that even today, 30 crore customers in the country are ‘stranded’ in 2G and policy intervention is needed to bring them into the smartphone. Through the smartphone, these customers will also be able to do digital transactions.
