A few days ago the new website of the Income Tax Department was launched. The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has given relief in the filing of Form 15CA and Form 15CB, as many taxpayers complained of difficulty in filing online forms in this new e-filing portal. According to the CBDT, Form 15CA and Form 15CB can be submitted in manual format to authorized dealers till June 30, 2021. Taxpayers have been complaining about the Income Tax Department’s new e-filing website https://incometax.gov.in since its launch.
As per the Income Tax Act, 1961, Form 15CA/15CB is required to be filled online. At present, taxpayers are required to upload Chartered Accountant Certificate (wherever required) in Form 15CA and Form 15CB on the e-filing portal in case of foreign remittances. After this, this copy has to be submitted to the authorized dealer.
Submit the form to the authorized dealers by June 30
According to a statement issued by the Finance Ministry, for the purpose of generating Document Identification Number on the new e-filing portal, facility will be provided to upload these forms later. According to a statement issued by the ministry, in case of foreign remittances, authorized dealers have been asked to accept Form 15CA/15CB by June 30, 2021. Taxpayers will have to submit the form to these dealers in manual format.

New e-filing portal was launched on 7th June
The new e-filing portal of the Income Tax Department was launched on 7 June 2021. However, users are constantly facing technical issues and logging time is taking more. Due to this it is not possible to respond to the notices and all the features are not working as of now. This new e-filing portal has been launched to make e-filing easier for the taxpayers.
