The country’s second-largest government bank Punjab National Bank (PNB) and Union Bank of India have given information to account holders by tweeting it. The bank has said in its tweet that the account holder should get the new chequebook as soon as possible. Banks have also given some ways to get a new chequebook.

Chequebooks are valid till 31 March
PNB and Union Bank of India have stated in their tweet that after the merger, the checkbooks of the customers of these banks are valid till March 31, 2021. The old checkbooks will run only after 31 March. This means you will have to get a new checkbook. The old checkbook will not work after April 1.

This bank’s customers got relief
Syndicate Bank and Allahabad Bank customers have got some relief. Canara Bank has said that the chequebook of Syndicate Bank account holders will remain valid till June 30, 2021. At the same time, Indian Bank had said last month that the checkbook of Allahabad Bank account holders will remain valid for 6 months.
