ICICI Bank brings ‘iMobile Pay’ app, customers of any bank will be able to make payments; How to use

ICICI Bank has launched the ‘iMobile Pay’ app. This app will provide the facility of payment and banking services to the customers of any bank. iMobile Pay is the first of its kind facility in India. Customers will be able to avail any UPI ID or merchant payment, bill payment, online recharge etc. facilities on this app. Apart from this, ICICI Bank’s instant banking service like the opening of digitally savings account, applying for investment, loan, credit card, gift card, travel card etc. will also be available on the app.

Users of iMobile Pay app will be able to transfer money to any bank account, payment app and digital wallet. Another major feature of this app is ‘Pay to contacts’. It automatically shows the registered UPI ID on the ICICI Bank UPI ID network of the contacts of their phonebook to the user, irrespective of the contact using any payment app and digital wallet.

iMobile Pay is not limited to customers of any single bank. This eliminates the need to have multiple payment or banking apps. Customers can link many of their bank accounts with it. To use ‘iMobile Pay’, any bank customer will have to link their bank account on the app and generate a UPI ID. After that they can access all services.

Payments at petrol pumps, grocery stores, restaurants too

This app allows customers to scan the QR code of any payment app. Customers can send money to any UPI ID, a payment app, digital wallet and bank account. Customers can pay at places like petrol pumps, grocery stores, restaurants, pharmacies, hospitals, multiplexes etc. with the help of this app.

Many other features will be added soon

Many other features are going to be added soon on the iMobile Pay app. These include utility bill payment, mobile phone recharge, checking CIBIL score, booking travel tickets, purchase of travel and gift cards; Investments in FD, RD, mutual funds, insurance etc. are included. The user will also get the Spends Tracker feature. With its help, they can keep an eye on their expenses. There will be a certain category of all transactions.

How to use

  • This app can be downloaded from Google Play Store. After downloading, the user has to set a 4 digit PIN. Users can also log in via their fingerprint. Soon the app will also be available for iOS devices.
  • On opening the app, you have to click on the ‘Link Account’ option and after that you will have to enter the necessary details to link your savings account. The savings account can be of any bank. More than one account can also be linked.
  • After linking the account, the user has to generate the UPI ID. It will be the same for all linked accounts.
  • After this, the user can start the transaction.
