HDFC Bank Q4 Results: In the last quarter of January-March 2021 of the last financial year 2020-21, the net profit of private sector bank HDFC Bank increased by 18.2 percent. According to the data released by the bank, its net profit in Q4 was Rs 8186.51 crore as against 6927.6 crore in the same period of the previous financial year. Amid the second wave of Corona epidemic, the company has informed that the board has decided not to declare a dividend for FY21.
In the private sector, the net interest income (NII) of the country’s largest lender (the difference between interest on loans and interest paid to depositors) in the March quarter increased by 15.6 per cent to Rs 17,120 crore on an annual basis. The bank’s net revenue (net interest income and other income) for the fourth quarter January-March 2021 stood at Rs 24,713 crore as against Rs 21,236 crore in the year-ago period.

HDFC Bank Q4 Results
- HDFC Bank’s liquidity coverage ratio stood at 138 per cent, which is better than regulatory requirements.
- The operating expenditure of the bank stood at Rs 9181.3 crore in the January-March 2021 quarter, which is 10.9 per cent higher than Rs 8277.8 crore in the same period last year.
- The cost-to-income ratio was 37.2 percent compared to 39 percent in the same period last year.
- Non-interest revenue in the fourth quarter of FY 2021 stood at Rs 7593.9 crore, which is 30.7 percent of the total revenue in the March quarter. In the January-March 2020 quarter last year, non-interest revenue was Rs 6032.6 crore.
- HDFSB Bank had deposits of Rs 13 lakh crore, which is 16.3 per cent higher than the deposits as on 31 March 2020 last year. CASA deposits jumped 27 per cent with savings of Rs 4.03 lakh crore and Rs 2.12 lakh crore in current account.
- According to Basel-3 guidelines in the March 2021 quarter, HDFC Bank’s Total Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) stood at 18.8 per cent as against 18.5 per cent in the March 2020 quarter. The regulatory requirement is 11.075 percent.
- Gross non-performing assets stood at 1.32 per cent of gross advances as on 31 March 2021 as against 1.38 per cent on 31 December 2020 and 1.26 per cent on 31 March 2020.
- HDFC Bank’s distribution network has 5608 branches, 16087 ATMs / cash deposits and withdrawal machines in 2902 cities and towns across the country.
