Hackers stole 60 GB of data by attacking the Indian servers of laptop maker Acer. The attack happened earlier this week. ZDNet has disclosed this matter. The hacker Desorden Group has claimed that they stole 60 GB data from Acer’s Indian servers by breaking into them. The hacker group itself informed this by e-mailing ZDNet. The hackers claim that the data they stole includes customer and corporate business data. There is also financial information as well.
Acer confirms attack
The hackers have said that their attack was not for ransomware. He had made access to the server in the recent past. A spokesman for Taiwanese company Acer has confirmed this cyber attack to ZDNet. It has been said on behalf of the company that its security had detected this single attack. The attack was done on India’s after sales service system.

The company said, the attack did not have a significant effect on its operation.
After the attack of hackers, Acer has started notifying customers who may come under attack. The company has informed legal agencies and Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) about this hacking incident in India. However, the company claims that this attack will make a significant difference to its operation. After the attack, the hackers told ZDNet that they no longer had access to Acer’s servers. It claims that there are vulnerabilities in Acer’s global network.
