The e-commerce company Flipkart has decided to bear the cost of Covid vaccination of its own and Myntra employees and their three dependents. In a message sent to employees, Flipkart said that it hopes that all the citizens will come for the next phase of the vaccination campaign. Earlier, with the introduction of COVID vaccination in the country, many companies including Reliance Industries, Infosys, Accenture have announced to bear the vaccination cost of their employees and their families.
Flipkort said, “We are still waiting for the decision of the government for the next phase. But we are happy to inform that the Flipkart Group has decided to bear the entire cost of vaccination of all the employees of Flipkart and Myntra and their three dependents. Employees can either take the money from the company after getting the vaccine or can get the vaccination done free in a partner hospital. ”
After the completion of the vaccination process, the employees can avail one day’s leave. In addition, after vaccination any special symptoms will be allowed to take special covid care leave. The company says that vaccination is currently an effective solution to combat the epidemic and reduce its effects.

Earlier, on Monday, Mindtree and Sify Technologies have also announced to bear the cost of COVID Vaccination of their employees and their family members. Earlier, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, Reliance Industries, TVS Motor Company and Renew Power have also announced to provide vaccines to their employees and their family members at their own expense. Infosys co-founders NR Narayana Murthy and Chris Gopalakrishnan and Kotak Mahindra Bank MD and CEO Uday Kotak are among the business leaders who have been vaccinated.
Second phase begins from March 1
The world’s largest corona vaccination program has started in India from January 16. However, in the first phase, health workers and frontline workers were vaccinated. Starting March 1, vaccine vaccines are being administered to people over 60 years of age and sick people over 45 years (suffering from comorbidities) from March 1.
