In the Q1 result of DMart, the company has made a net profit of 115.13 crores, which is up to 132%. The company had earned a net profit of 50 crores in the previous year. DMart also saw a good growth in its revenue in the quarter ended June 30. It saw an increase of 31.27 percent, due to which it has increased from Rs 3,833 crore to 5,031.75 crore in the June 2020 quarter.
The company announced its June quarter results on Saturday. The company had reported revenue of ₹3,833.23 crore in the April-June quarter a year ago, Avenue Supermarts informed in a regulatory filing to the BSE. Neville Noronha, CEO and Managing Director, Avenue Supermarts Ltd. says, “Q1FY22 has resulted in the loss of significantly more days due to COVID-19 restrictions as compared to the same period last year. Also put more restrictions on the number of hours of store operation, otherwise the profits would have been even higher.

Shares of Avenue Supermarts had gained 1.96 per cent to Rs 3,425 during trading on the BSE this week. This was its all-time high record. Avenue Supermarts is among the 18th most valuable company in the country with a market cap of Rs 2.18 lakh crore. According to a recent report, Avenue Supermarts may be included in Nifty during the September review. The stock has gained over 20 per cent this year. On Friday, the company’s stock closed at Rs 3380, down 0.27 per cent on the NSE.
