India export june quarter: In the first quarter of the current financial year, the country’s exports increased to $ 95 billion. Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal said that the country’s exports have registered a boom in the April-June quarter due to the increase in exports of engineering, rice, oil meals and marine products.
The country’s merchandise exports stood at $82 billion in the first quarter of the financial year 2018-19. It increased to $ 90 billion between the fourth quarter of the financial year 2020-21 i.e. January-March 2021. This has increased to $ 92 billion in the financial year 2021-22. The country’s exports stood at just $51 billion in the June quarter of the last fiscal. Talking about the month of June only, there was a growth of 47 percent in the country’s exports and it was $ 32 billion.

Piyush Goyal said that the country’s merchandise export has set a new record in the April-June quarter. This is the highest figure for merchandise exports in a single quarter so far. Goyal said that he will sit with all the stakeholders to achieve the export target of $ 400 billion in the current financial year.

Exporters’ organization FIEO had also said recently that the target of exports of $ 400 billion during the current financial year is a bit ambitious but it can be achieved. For this, the exporters’ association has required an aggressive marketing strategy and foraying into new markets. Newly elected President of Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO) A Sakthivel said that free trade agreements (FTAs) with countries like UK, Europe, Australia and the US will help in increasing the country’s exports.
