TCS profits jump
The country’s largest software services provider TCS has made tremendous gains in the first quarter of the current financial year 2021-22. In April-June, the company’s profit increased by 28.5 percent to Rs 9,008 crore. Earlier, in the same quarter of the financial year 2020-21, the company had a net profit of Rs 7,008 crore. The company’s consolidated income also increased by 18.5 per cent to Rs 45,411 crore in the first quarter of the current fiscal from Rs 38,322 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
Rajesh Gopinathan, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, TCS said, “Our business in North America, BFSI (Bank, Financial Services and Insurance) and retail business all saw a decent growth. This shows the strong system of the company in the Corona period. During this, the most important thing is that our colleagues have contributed with full enthusiasm. The company is alert to the evolving situation and remains optimistic about opportunities in key markets and verticals, given the impact of the corona pandemic and the possibility of a possible third wave, he added. .
Job given to more than 20 thousand people

Actually TCS gave jobs to about 20,409 new employees during the Corona period. With this, the number of its employees increased to 5,09,058 from above five lakhs.
