A Constitution Hall will also be present in the new building which will showcase India’s democratic heritage. Other features of Parliament will have a new lounge, several committee rooms, a library, a dining area and large parking space for all MPs.
The space for members and their seating arrangement is also being increased. Currently, the Parliament has seats for 543 Lok Sabha members and 245 Rajya Sabha members. However, 888 Lok Sabha members and Rajya Sabha seats have been increased to 384 in the new building.
