The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Sunday arrested Kewal Krishan Kumar, CMD of M/s Shakti Bhog Foods Limited, from Delhi under money laundering provisions. These arrests have come after searches in their 9 locations in Delhi-NCR and Haryana. During the search, different incriminating documents and digital evidence have been recovered.

The charges against the accused include money laundering through related entities, transacting from accounts and dubious sale-purchase from several other entities.
Special court sent ED to custody till July 9
After the arrest, he was produced before the special court on Sunday itself and the court has sent the ED to custody till July 9. The accused is accused of bank fraud of 3269 crores. Further investigation of the matter is on. On the other hand, the Enforcement Directorate has summoned former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh for the third time. He has been asked to appear in the ED office on July 5, but to avoid ED action, Anil Deshmukh has gone to the Supreme Court.
Anil Deshmukh was summoned twice before. First, he expressed his inability for questioning citing age, illness and corona. After this he had asked for 7 days deferment. This deferment is ending on Monday i.e. July 5 and hence the ED summoned him on Saturday and ordered him to remain present on Monday.
